The Putnam County District Library Pandora-Riley Location

Between the years of 1939-1953, a Library substation was operated in the Hilty Drug Store in Pandora.  In 1953, the book mobile began service to Pandora.   This service lasted until June 14, 1986.  In September of 1985, the drive to establish a branch of the Putnam County District Library was began.  Jim Baxter and Bob Reese took leading roles in the endeavor.  The Pandora-Riley Branch of the Putnam County District Library opened for the patrons on Tuesday, May 17, 1986.  The branch library's first librarian was Anne Schroeder.  Funding for the library is provided from the Putnam County District Library operating budget.
