The Putnam County District Library Kalida Location
The Putnam
County District Library Kalida Location opened
on April 8, 1973, with a reception sponsored by the Kalida Fire
Ladies with 163 people attending.
The Kalida Village Council agreed
to the use of a room in the City Building along with tables,
chairs, and desks. The Kalida Lions Club donated money and time
to buy and install the original shelving in the City Building.
Furniture, shelving, computers, books, periodicals and other
equipment and staff are now provided by funding from the Putnam
County District Library operating budget.
